As the name suggests, those iconic cargo pockets were originally designed to hold gear: rations, maps, and more for soldiers in the field. They’re made from soft Italian velvet, which comes to us from Pontoglio, a 63-person mill on the banks of the Oglio river that’s been synonymous with fine Italian velvet and corduroy since its founding in 1883. Try pairing them with a tee and boot, or wear the matching Chore Coat and a pair of loafers for a casual but cool alternative to a suit.
